Re: 75 collected!!
Lovely looking car. Didn't know you could still pick these up for less than £500.

Re: Claim's Cabbies Corner. Crimbo kick off season.
He's probably locked in some Chinese government run re-education centre/punishment dungeon for daring to imply anything made by them would be anything other than magnificent. We'll know it's the truth if he suddenly starts praising the virtues of the car and signs up for a HP agreement on an MG5 upo...

Re: Onslow's new motor.
Never really paid any attention to these, but after looking at yours I can't help thinking they've aged really nicely. Looks like a brilliant purchase, especially in the current climate where it's difficult to get anything decent for less than £1k.

Re: Claim's Cabbies Corner. MAN Vs DPF
I would work your arse off but make payments at the agreed rate and chuck the surplus earnings into a separate pot for calling upon if suddenly required. This is the way to do it. Without sounding too much like NewPod, earn the money, pop the surplus into a savings account, and pay it off at the ag...

Not sure about the bottom one, but I'm pretty confident the top one is a Peugeot 308 dashboard

Definitely on the side of buy it and then flip it for more. Depending on how much they wanted for it you could easily double or triple your money. Would also be interested in seeing some pics too. The head gasket on my 75 has gone and I've been semi keeping an eye out for something cheap to use for ...

Never noticed that, but now can't unsee it. That rear door looks like an utter joke.

Re: Claim's Cabbies Corner. NYE Fun And Games.
Auctions near me (Wymondham in Norfolk, so fucking miles from Merseyside) get a steady stream of ex-fleet Insignias going through direct from Anglian Water, Connells estate agents and a few other places. Tend to be pretty cheap at the moment (typically 2 to 3k for a 2015-17 one) and normally get bou...

Re: Claim's Cabbies Corner. JUMPING THROUGH HOOPS
They're quite nice for the 15 minutes they last without breaking. Have recently been tempted by the later 1.6 diesels, but unsure if they're reliable, or just marginally less shit than the 2.0.

Funny timing with this thread, as I drove across Germany yesterday and had my first autobahn experience. It's brilliant, and really works over there, but think it's mainly to do with the condition of the roads being much better, and most importantly, people driving very attentively. There was absolu...
