I thought the MG6 was just a cost engineered K-series ? There was a bit of tempation to buy a rear shunted MG6 to make a 1.8 street wise work better but I ran out of beer before clicking on buy it now. I think the petrol ones were re-engineered to solve the OMGHGF issue, but "Warren's" is...

My Chevy had that kind of ignition switch (key optional) - I never thought about it being a valet thing.

My 1989 XR2 had a couple of elastic straps in the flimsy boot floor panel to secure the glass sunroof if you took the whole thing out - the only options were tilt closed or fully removed - more like an aftermarket than a factory fit but suited me as is didn't rob too much headroom for a sunroof mech...
