Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Do we have a potentially most boring man in the world award?
I find it hard to picture him doing anything as interesting as riding any motorbike let alone an Elsie.
If he said he swapped the LC for a GPZ305 it would make perfect sense however
In the olden days of Rider policies...

(Dodge, don't mention those bloody things)

I thought of the old Z500, I hadn't heard of the new one.
The new one just seems to be an uglier update on the GPZ500, I couldn't ever see myself wanting one of those.

There are many "new" bikes that I am not aware of. But then I stopped buying bike magazines some years ago, and only watch a few bike reviewers on YouTube (basically just motobob), and even then skip through the reviews of bikes I have no interest in.which turns out to be 90% of them!

I'm not aware of much past 2005. Newest bike I've owned was 2002.

I see that Nathan Millward (better known as nathanthepostman and Dorothy's Speed Shop) has purchased twenty brand new CCM 230cc adventure bikes. These are basicallydirect copies of the Honda CRF230, built by Loncin.

He is selling them at £1,995 (plus on the road costs). Well, I say selling them, as he sold 18 of them within 24 hours.
Either that is a very low price, or the bikes are good. Or possibly both?

I bought a new Himalayan back in 2019, but it is basically a 1950's bike with fuel injection.

My NC750 I bought as it will be with me until it dies (or I do).

259 Yamaha scooter is 2006, Street Triple 675 is 2008. None of the newer models I have ridden are any better. Riding my mates new 765 Street Triple back to back with mine made me feel the 765 is a step backwards despite having all the electrics, such as ABS, Traction Control, Quickshifter and the most complicated TFT instruments I have ever encountered, on two wheels or four. Hateful.

First time on a bike in the dark. It's got a better headlight than the van.

The year when Honda's changed from white plastics for the MX bikes back to red I could have had a brand new red XR250 for under £2000 + OTR, the shop owner couldn't quite believe the price they were offering them to him at and ordered every one he could have and sold them all within a week of the first one arriving. The next batch were significantly more expensive and didn't sell anywhere near as well.
