Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I am ok with it being perceived as an old man's machine.
It keeps them cheap.
Let everyone else pay over the odds for GSXR's and other sports bikes of the same era.
I shall be comfortable on mine and just as quick.
In my opinion nothing sound better than VFR.

Also if the Police pull me over I can deny everything, "I'm sorry Officer, you must be mistaken, I am old, with a top box, it couldn't have been me."

A perception based in PHACT!

I had an FJ1100 (B69 CMF, long gone now). I serm to remember I took it from 10,000 miles to 80,000 with minimal maintenace.

My mate had an FJ1200 but with an 1100 engine in it, and a beautiful, handbuilt, race 4-1 exhaust, made by Phil Hacker. R6 wheels and Bluespot calipers, Penske shock and stiffer front springs. Much nicer handling than my 1100 with its 16 inch front wheel.

My brother still has his FJ1200 after 7 years. He has fitted with CBR600 wheels and discs with Yamaha blue spot callipers, and some 'mild' tuning work. It's the one bike he has that he says will be his for life.

And here is one on ebay for sale. Formerly Phil Hackers' Forgotten Era Championship winning bike, but now with an XJR1200 engine. Still registered and "Road legal"....

If you need any questions FJ related answering, Phil Hacker is your man.

I am at the old enough to know better age.

I am going to fit GSXR bodywork onto the VFR, that should run the young whippersnappers up the wrong way.

Hooli could do with one of those third wheels for cornering.
Isn't it on the wrong side for him though?

He doesn't need one on the opposite side though, because he has an imaginary one in his head.
