You always knew when an S Type appeared that it was going to crash shortly afterwards. If it was a car full of wrong 'uns you could pass it off as a stolen mow-ah but it was when they had some supposed captain of industry smoking round in a blown over banger with very wonky shutlines things didn't look right.

I was reading an article about The Sweeny in The Oldie that reckoned the production company had a lot filled with S Types in various states or disrepair.

My very first car was an 'S' type! 3.4 manual with O/D in dark blue and... rust. A lot of rust. In fact it never got anywhere near a road in my ownership other than the drive home where it was found to go very well but displayed, odd, indeed terrifying tendencies to veer across the road at intervals.

Cost me £40, I was robbed!

I love 'S' types, I'd really like a 3.8 auto (naturally) with wires and an odd colour (not carmen fucking red!) preferably light green metallic or blue met. Under ten grand and I'm fighting SiC for the fucker!

BUT if you had to choose a motor with which to mow-down that hateful shit Farage, this would be a good place to sit whilst you crushed the rancid little fucker.

If you buy it just be advised, neither of the front spare wheel carriers contain actual wheels.
Clarkson said so.

Been doing the rounds for some time, that. Lovely car if a trifle highly priced (but then so it seems is everything else) and WOULD/WOOD. No structural worries with that timber either, its nailed on (well nearly).

For the same kind of money I would go for the Isis that is for sale near me (think it is still on Ebay) but mainly because I used to walk past it on the way to school as a six year old kid. I remember reading the "ISIS" script and asking my Mum about it. She told me it was like an Oxford but rarer and so it was, even in 1965.....

Blimey, I see they did an Isis Woody too! Am I right in thinking the 6 cylinder engine ones lost the rack and pinion steering? What sort of money is it?

I'd happily rock that weird-looking thing in red above. Though I'm not so sure the dog would ever go out for a drive again!
