The tow vehicle looks bigger and more comfortable. What do you need the 'van for?

Been working but my 2 barrell/4barrell carb adapter plate arrived. I plan to shift the 4 barrell carb from the Chevy to the AMC to see it cures the long running crap running. It probably won't but at least I can do lots of swearing along the way.

We’re having the kitchen moved around, getting rid of a utility room wall and popping some French doors in. It’s a listed building so much haggling with conservation over colournor bricks, mortar, finish and where I can and can’t have doors, etc.AlabamaShrimp wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 9:09 pm
I've not seen your posts on the other place other than to know you're doing something to your house so, what you doing to your house?
I should start a proper thread, there’s an old one on it on pistonheads but I got fed up of updating and cars/kids are more interesting than writing up what I’ve done...however...
Today, I did this in the downstairs bog.
Now you see me! Now you don’t...period based camouflage! Builders also unearthed a copy of that finest* of newspapers, The Daily Express...no doubt one of you can date it to within the year based on the advert for the 126bhp Mercedes 813 7.5 tonner.
The paper is faded and dusty but the pic looks like it’s on the Milbrook bowl.

I like the fan idea.
That's the thing with old houses, you can do a right bodge* and it looks OK as everything around it looks in the same state.

Re: What did you do today?
Working in a place years ago that wasn't listed we made an opening in a former external wall that was made of woven willow packed with mud/straw/ hair! It had been rendered over previously and was plasterboarded on the inside.
That's about the oldest I've ever seen.
It was an interesting place as it had been used by the army during the war and we couldn't get a skip on the lawns as they were all hiding underground rooms and storage tanks, apparently they had 10,000 gallons of water capacity along with some gas proofing!!

Start a house thread in the lentil cave.
I'll be doing a thread on my build too this summer.

Did someone say building?
I signed house buying papers yesterday and getting the keys to the house in two weeks.
It is amazing how affordable the housing market in Sweden is. Very little renting (outside of Stockholm and Goteborg) is going on as pretty much everyone can buy.

Yes, two houses, workshop/business premises and a big barn plus land.
