It's not scrap, it's quality used spares and in this case quality used Reliant door handles.

Are you after some of these door handles by any chance Eddie ? I think I have a pair as they are the same as Jensen 541. I also have a number plate light somewhere, which were also Rover P4

Not at the moment, but thanks for asking. I think I have 3 somewhere (1 driver's / two passenger's). I think I have a numberplate lamp. Whereabouts unknown at the minute.

As an idea:

Rover P4's aren't valuable. Why not break free from the 'but it's cheap' mentality for once and pay decent money for a solid six cylinder example that's on the road, working and needs a bit of cosmetic work as opposed to burying yourself in another rusted out stretcher case? Rover 60's are worth fuck all as everyone - quite rightly - wants a proper one.

This is sensible advice and it of course is what I should be doing. I have been keeping an eye out for exactly that intention. But nothing has come up that really meets that.

Just hold fire and wait. No rush. Don't buy a Rover 60. It will be shit, gutless and horribly slow. Get a proper one.

Thanks. I definitely want one and that is one car I'm holding out for a good one. It'll be a keeper like my BGT. A bit like my BGT bodywork is fundamentally sound and respectable looking. However as it was laid up for over 15 years (possibly longer) it was a mechanical recommissioning/learning exercise.

Any Spitty I get will live in a garage (Dolomite to storage) and kept tip/top like my BGT/Boxster/etc.

Any P4 will be a driveway (ornament) as a fix it up toy that I may/may not keep long term once roadworthy depending on how attached I get to it. Like the Moggie/1100/520i/etc. Basically a bit of fun to muck about with.
