Haha, reminds me of a Lada I once owned that has totally rotten door bottoms. The radio was louder outside the car than in.
By the way, I have a brand new never painted or fitted back door for one of these if you want it for free.

Re: HMC Motors- Mystery machine
A friend had a Mercedes V class "people carrier" from near new. The Mercedes dealer he bought it from hated him when he kept taking it back under the anti perforation warranty. The argument was tried that the 10 year anti-perforation warranty didn't apply as it was commercial based, his counter argument, that it was sold by them as a luxury people carrier meant that it did was accepted. I have no idea what it cost Mercedes in the end, but they kept having to sort it.

It cost Ford a fortune on sierras, all four doors a bonnet and bootlid on one specimen we had in the family, they declined to replace a wing as they said it had been painted previously...Guest wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 9:09 pm A friend had a Mercedes V class "people carrier" from near new. Wow. That's my kind of van!
Coil of rope, gaffa tape and a shovel on the passenger seat and you're sorted.

Thanks!
About to do a backyard rattle can effort on the (4) new doors- the weather needs to hold and the goods need to arrive- it’s the best evening for it and I was hoping to get it done before SF19

Re: HMC Motors- Mystery machine
Well. typical fucking Tavistock weather. Evening forecast at 3pm was sun- chance of rain 7%
My no budget no facilities respray got underway after work with flatting the doors and masking etc- rattle canned the doors and 10 minutes after I’d finish there was a HAIL STORM. WHAT THE FUCK and other expletives happened. Well 5 minutes worth of hail all in- the air was blue; but the van is at least all green. The paint appears not to have suffered (will it be ruined?) Time will tell.

Re: HMC Motors- Mystery machine
To be fair, despite the rain and the "unique" paint colour, that doesn't look that bad for a rattle can paint repair.
