I finally fitted new number plates - yahoo! Required a drill and one screwdriver, even I can't make a gash up of that... can I?
You doubting bastards, of course I did!

Re: What did you do today?
All autumn and winter I will be rescuing toads or frogs from outside my gaff. No idea where they come from but I put them back near a pond wetland area. I hope that's what they like? I spent all day ruing the weather as it was pissing down and I wanted to fit new number plates. I didn't because I re...

Re: Supercharging the climate with a XJR V8
If I can weld, anybody can! Believe it or not, I can weld with a MIG, or gas and even stick if pushed. It's actually quite easy, just getting your bollocks warmed up enough to have a crack at it is the hard part.

Re: Supercharging the climate with a XJR V8
That mess is now undersealed. Rear brakes rebuild & I've found another hole in the floor where a bung has moved & allowed it's hole to rot. I've ignored it for now as I've run out of rust convertor. I really do need to spend some time laid under this with a wire brush, rust convertor & ...

Re: Jag! The Ghostly fleet thread
I had an S3 exactly the same as yours (Cranberry with doeskin leather) and it was also a 'B' reg Sovereign with the nice alloys. it was a bloody good car and one of the most reliable Jaguars I have so far owned. It did scare the shit out of me once though: started it from cold as usual and within ab...

Re: What did you do today?
Changed the air filters on the Merc, nice easy job and did lots of needed cleaning under the bonnet, it was all dusty which I like to see when I buy a car - no leaks! Also checked all the levels which were fine :) The air filters were about due but not horrible which bodes well. Then I did the polle...

Re: What did you do today?
And now I have done the Waxoyling. Not sure if this new tin is better or I have just shaken it properly for once but it's come out like... er, wax! Sprayed where I wanted it to go and stayed there. Most unlike my usual efforts with Waxoyl as it usually goes everywhere but where I want the damn stuff...

Re: What did you do today?
I have, this very morning, been out and sanded down my wheel arches! Okay, that sounds a tad dramatic when what I actually did was sand down about an inch of inner wheel arch where I had noticed incipient rust when I waxoyled the arches. It is where Mercs start to rust so better to catch it early? T...
