Highly suggestive of the state of the 'industry', I would venture. From your first post it immediately occurred to me that their business was going tits up and they were grasping for any money they could.

Some of those 90s cars were problematic because of how low the radiators were as much as their size, made cars prone to HGF if they even lost a little coolant. I'd say that's down to poor materials, bad galvanising, poor chrome/Nickel/paintwork. Plus a little bit of better design needed around hollow components/rust traps? I'm old enough to remember bicycles that rusted in what seemed liked minutes, yet, perhaps because of BMX, then mountain biking they've...

I'll leave this here, was going to put it on the Gazza thread. Next year when I've got a big boys bike I may get myself an elf costume and fuck off down there if I can put up with Bristol for more than a few minutes.

I have a couple of those scissor lifts, virtually identical to that. I was using them to lift a Saab I was working on, I could get one side up far enough to then sit cross-legged and comfortably work on a sill or changing a wheel bearing etc. I think they are rated at 500kg each so easily lift a bike.
