I've had one for eight months now. It's excellent in so many ways.

Re: USA Road Trip Suggestions?

In 2009 I had a Dodge Ram from and back to Atlanta. My road trip took in Memphis, Nashville, Dollywood and Savannah, with a couple of overnights to break up the longer drives; I don't think any one driving day was over 300 miles. Perfectly acceptable on US roads. The Deep South is great to drive acr...

Re: Car "Quirks" Your Family Has/Had.

The one new car I've bought was a Suzuki, which came about 6 years after one of their Samurais, which was fun while we had it.... on a nice day anyway. We now have a Suzuki on Motability, and will be changing it in November for... another Suzuki. Incidentally... the Samurai was white. The Ignis we ...

Re: Car "Quirks" Your Family Has/Had.

I can remember my dad's first New car in 1963: an Anglia van in Goodwood Green. He followed that with three more new Ford cars (Corsair 1500, Zephyr 4 mk3 and Cortina 1500 mk2) all of which were used for caravan towing. Later, when cars were dictated by purchase price, he would buy whatever he could...

Re: EBay Finds

Thank you all! Xtriple, yes indeed you did make the offer, and although I didn't take it, I was grateful that someone made it. As I am now to those of you who have joined in with further offers. Unfortunately, there is another issue, that no amount of money can cure: MrsR has taken a terminal dislik...

Re: EBay Finds

I REALLY liked 'Huggy' and considered the strong desire to own it in a possibly positive light. Then I saw the post where the owner 'repaired' some of the rust and changed my mind pretty quick-smart! "The owner" is on here.... So you don't think much of my repairs. OK, tell me what you wo...

Re: End of year (well not quite) Fleet reports? Ill Start :)

As you will read soon in Classic Car Buyer: Huggy has had to have a section of exhaust. The year isn't over yet! He also needs an outer headlight. I think you too are meant to be together Eddy ;) He just dosnt want to leave you! You might have a point there Jo! I'd be delighted to keep him, except ...

Re: Barn finds NCM auction Preston 2nd Nov

Thankfully I have another car meet to take Huggy to, because I have zero funds as usual. I mean, Preston... it's hardly the dark side of the moon from here! There are cars in that sale I'd love to have a crack at if I had money and space. But I haven't, so there.
