Re: Never mind the Gas Crisis heres the Wobstang!
Just catching up on this, I’ve been away for a few days. At least your found bodges aren’t too serious. When I went to the shippers warehouse to pick my Yank up after it came over I was chatting to them about exactly this sort of thing. He showed me a small selection of cars that’d come over where s...

Re: The shape of things to come
Pretty much, I agree with The Junkman. People have been asking and saying stuff for years. The same sort of thing got said when leaded fuel was taken off general sale, yet we’re still here still chugging around in old stuff. The biggest restrictions will come, but they’ll be for new cars and come in...

Re: Hideous Yank
That is superb! Great looking car.
I can certainly relate to the parts issue, I get lots of bits from RockAuto for my Mercury, parts are dirt cheap and often decent quality too but the shipping and duty doesn’t half bump the price up.

Re: WOT NO PITS?
Slowly getting there. I wanted to get loads done last weekend but ended getting a horrible cold (yes at this time of year!) so barely touched it.
Work tomorrow, but I hope to get some progress made this bank holiday.
Done much more to yours?

My old mk2 was similar.
Well worn! Peeling lacquer, rusty bits, mismatched paint... but a brilliant car and looked the biz.

Re: The Hot Wob Time Machine
Just goes to show how utterly utterly wrong car manufacturers these days have got things. That Granny is exactly what a big exec saloon car should look like. Just gorgeous! It’s great to see stuff of that sort of age still running around looking like that though. Cars just don’t age the same (fuckin...
