Best thing to do with a XR4i was nail the rear end of a XR4x4 under it. Means you get a LSD & they'll never drive anywhere without going sideways again.

I never towed a massive single axle car trailer with a Mk3 XR3i on it, using a Mk3 Escort 1.6GL as a tow car either. Nor did I load the XR3i in the wrong place so there was too much nose weight mean the tow car front wheels locked if you tried to slow down.
