Re: Electric vehicles, pros and cons. Have your say.

Tesla are axing 10% of their global workforce with diminishing sales as the wheels seemingly continue to fall off the ‘EV revolution’. I wonder what the clueless meddling politicians will do next to try and force the acceptance of the inferior, if a product is better than what’s it’s replacing and p...

Re: Electric vehicles, pros and cons. Have your say.

It's like a fair few other threads, if it's not ignored you get a few disciples piling onto you. There's about as much open discussion as in Stalin's Russia or Mao's China. The rigidity of their thinking is unbelievable. Absolutely, the same old half a dozen or so who do seem to be brainwashed

Re: Electric vehicles, pros and cons. Have your say.

It will be interesting over the coming years to see if any EV’s will even make it to 10 years old and still be viable, I doubt it. Depending on how you define viable? They've been knocking together Nissan Leaves for over 13 years now. What are they like? I've no idea, but I'm running my petrol Euro...

Re: Electric vehicles, pros and cons. Have your say.

My daily to and from work car is a 15 year old VW Polo TDI and it still does what’s required of it with minimal fuss and very frugally and will continue to do so for a good few WEEKS yet. ftfy Don’t know what you mean, this is the second Polo TDI I’ve owned, the first one got to 169,000 miles befor...

Re: Electric vehicles, pros and cons. Have your say.

Recently I looked at one of these as a potential replacement for our Citigo, when we need to replace it, whose normal longest journey is about 60 miles to Norwich and back. That'll do about 360 or so miles on a full tank, so Oxford and back if we go and see our youngest. Given that the Up! starts f...

Re: Unbelievable brake master cylinder rebuild

What a brilliant thread, when I saw the images of the cylinder after it’s removal from Mother Earth I thought it would never go again, superb work.

Even the caravan looks worried as it stares at the engine cover, awaiting flames.
You only have to worry about unexpected flames from EV’s dude, not that I would dare mention that on the beige these days!

FB_IMG_1688886455273.jpg FB_IMG_1688886458086.jpg I love the artistic license in this advert, never has a Hillman Husky looked so wide, low and sleek. It never did! But this advert is trying desperately to make it look as good as Raymond Loewry’s stunning Studebaker and Packard designs from the sam...

Re: Do EVs make sense to you?

You can take a hacksaw to it if you want, I'll watch from a safe distance. Me too, every battery powered device I’ve ever owned has needed a replacement battery once it’s fucked, I can’t see it being any different with electric vehicles and with the eye watering replacement cost the hateful pieces ...
