Got a three and a half ton bottle jack for free from work, found it buried while I was rearranging the corner of the shop where the long term projects are languishing as one needed pulling out. Has an Iveco sticker on it.

There's a great Facebook group called 'Les constructeurs sans patente' (translated: 'The unlicensed builders') that I found recently. French group full of old pics of custom built racing cars etc.

I think I'm currently the only GGGist or Glossopist not to own a four cylinder car. Ha. For anyone that hasn't seen or doesn't know, the trip computer is the same as fitted to the later XJS. I've also found out that it relies on a signal from the speedo in some manner - if the speedo isn't working (it doesn't always, it drops in and out at random) then the trip computer refuses to give...
