Re: Some car racing is going on near Le Mans this weekend

Spoiler:

Did #7 actually have a problem (slow puncture or whatever) and require the extra pit-stop or was it a conspiracy so that Alonso could win?

I would have preferred it Alonso didn't win the race, they weren't the fastest car, and they got the championship anyway.

I'm enjoying the Eurosport coverage with no adverts at all.

The commentators have been talking some serious bollocks, somewhat reminiscent of TMS on the radio at times.

I was going to say it's available on https://www.motortrendondemand.com/freetrial/ (Roadkill plus other stuff) and that's $5.99 a month.

There might be a free trial on if you're lucky.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about Land Rover. I have no idea why people like series LR, they are horrible to drive, noisy, ratlly, drafty, hardly move and barely stop. Just about anything else is better.

Saab 900 Turbo 16S
My boyhood dream car. When I eventually got one I didn't like it, the engine is fantastic, but it had the handling of an oversized jellyfish. I kept it for around 2 years trying to like it, but I never did.

Re: Cars that I thought would be shit but weren't.

I was also surprised by a Maestro, 1.6 auto. I bought it off the beige for £100 or something daft, and it was surprisingly not crap. This was the one I ended up loaning to Vulg/Angyl and I think he also didn't hate it. Daihatsu Mira classic. My first kei and probably the best I've had. I bought it a...
