Miles nicer to see a van in 'working' condition than an over restored show pony. A set of old wooden ladders on top of it somehow would also increase its 'wob-points' for me.

Nope, not touched it. It is still the same seal as put there by Pierre in Le Harvre in '76.

Nah. Just extended the middle pie to cover the rotten end of the downpipe. Just don't tell anyone.

I went to take my fanny mould off the 16. It's one of those instances where you can see all the bolts and fittings but you can't get any spammer near them. I applaud you for your perseverance. I gave up and just welded up the pipe form underneath.

I've had the best results when sealing wraparound windscreens by using black single part urethane sealant. It sets just like rubber, but isn't as permanent as tiger seal. The trick is to really clean the aperture and wash the seal in hot, soapy water to really get rid of the muck off it. Fit the scr...

Yup. My R16( yes, another one!) is in the garage. I took it off the road only to dinitrol it so I can use it with a little less guilt. That was 18 months ago! FFS! A job like that would of taken me a weekend in my twenties. A case of life getting in the way, and maybe a teensie bit of project creep....
