Re: Tales of cars going through the ring.

I'd quite happily see this thread merged with mine. No hijack at all, just makes sense.

Re: sO needs your help - Fiat 133 is back in the game!

I don't ever recall seeing a 133 in the wild. I read the road test in my Motor Road Test annual of 1975 and my one memory is them complaining about the excessive rust proofing! It's one of those cars that I struggle to see the point of why Fiat imported it in the first place, or even feel the need f...

Re: Cars that I thought would not be shit but were

Maserati Biturbos are evil bastards that will spin on the fucking spot without warning. Short chassis & loads of power, plus a bit (although not all that much tbf) of turbo lag. I seized a Biturbo on behalf of the VAT many years ago and being a sly cunt I scheduled it's uplifting for a Friday n...

Re: Claim's Cabbies Corner (Again)

Let's chat about hacks for a bit. My local council, Wirral, used to limit the number of hacks it would plate to 124 of which one guy who I'll talk about later kept about 20 plates on the shelf for various reasons. This guy who's called Billy Kelly was forever taking my council to court for more plat...

Usually between 66.6 and 77.7mpg.

Last week I had to travel 400 mainly motorway miles from North Wales to Newcastle and was surprised to see this figure.

I will admit to discovering that the Land Rover Defender 110 Safari V8 was a big let down.

An early Mk1 LHD Golf GTi was also a disappointment, I'm glad it caught fire on me.

Re: Claim's Cabbies Corner (Again)

So I'm going to update this soon and I was wondering what you wobbers want to read about.

I can either continue the story as planned with the Rover 218 turbo dizzler or go on a brief tangent about the hackneys I've owned or driven? Fairway/Metrocab/TX1&2.

Up to you folks!
