Re: Eddie Honda's wheels of steel (and occasionally alloy)
Can you rotate the wheel 180 degrees so it acts on the good teeth.

Re: Squire's voitures
It was an awkward bugger aye but I didn’t struggle for long in between catching breath. The good thing is, as soon as this replacement cog-box is in, I can refit all the interior. I am really going to town with the sound deadening. I’ll detail that when I get around to it. In the meantime I have fit...

Re: What did you do today?
It’s all strangled by the features and emissions gear. I can guarantee there will not be 180 bhp at the wheels. And the torque on modern engines is non-existent.

Re: Squire's voitures
Hoiked this thing out and prepared its replacement. Was a bit of a struggle but won eventually. The reason for this is that first and reverse gear are knocking badly, I am guessing a tooth is broken. Also it was hard to obtain first sometimes, which can be an issue with these weak boxes even when ne...

Re: What did you do today?
I had a delightful ride out on this EBay 1958 Rudge Whitworth (just a badge-engineered Raleigh but with a Rudge specific S-A SW hub). First real test ride after fettling the woefully inadequate brakes. Even rod brakes should be good stoppers. Also I replaced the Dynohub with one from a scrap bike, a...

Re: What did you do today?
Today I painted the workshop floor - an annual bore best done on a warm day when there is fuck all else to do. I changed the fuel filter on my 318Ti whilst underneath it doing pre MOT checking and discovered a 1999 date stamp on the old one. That's nothing, my oil filters are from the 1960's.
