Re: Two wheels good.

Every single one at one point seemed to have a sticker on the handlebar cover with NEW GEAR PATTERN written on it and a diagram of the changes that had been made.

Re: Two wheels good.

I used to like the maximum speed in gear line on the speedometer on the old C90.
If I remember correctly you had to rev it in second gear until you couldn't see out of the mirrors before dropping it into third gear and losing all the revs you had gained.

Re: Two wheels good.

Reminds me of taking the rear hub out of the Sprint GT I had, on those the hub seizes into the swingarm. I found a way to use a calliper bolt in the swingarm to lever against the disc & get some pressure on it while I got the hammer out. Took fucking hours though. Yeah, they do that as well, th...

On the contrary, good timing is when you get home then it rains.

Re: Two wheels good.

Check the fuel filter as well, that could give you a measurement of fuel enough for ten minutes if it keeps blocking up. I have been the last couple of days trying to strip the rear hub on the VFR, first I couldn't get the circlip that holds the brake plate in place to come out, it was corroded in p...

Re: Two wheels good.

Is it possible to fit the old style C90 legshields and exhaust onto an Innova?
It could be a very cool machine.

Pisses me off that Crunchies are so expensive now, they used to be so cheap and plentiful.

Re: Two wheels good.

My mate had one on the road this year, I never rode it as I never had my gear with me, I kind of regret it, but then again, I don't regret it...

Edit it was an IT 490.

Re: Two wheels good.

I've never thought of a slipper clutch stopping you bump starting bikes, makes sense though. I seem to remember five or six of us trying to bump start a massive motocross sidecar outfit in an industrial estate one day, with the intention of doing silly stuff. I honestly cannot remember what engine ...

Re: Two wheels good.

I didn't know whether to put this in this thread of the grumpy thread, but I have chosen here to vent The screen on my VFR is the wrong height, so much so that my visor is dirty within fifteen miles, not wanting to spend money on a taller screen and find it was no better or worse I decided to buy a ...

Re: Two wheels good.

A portmanteau of fake tank may be fatank in the written word, with a bit of pronunciation jiggling, it has a nice sweary ring to it.

Ftank!
