Re: The Parallel Universe of R16 Ownership

Mine had a shunt front right, so the wing is full of wob, the bonnet and front panel badly mended and the left wing is also nothing to write home about. Re: Wobland Spottage

I thought pained grille is Falcon, chromed grille is Fairmont and chromed grille with painted centre bar is Fairmont Ghia, but what do I know about cars?

Whatever it is, someone forgot to tick the V8 box when ordering it.

Re: The Parallel Universe of R16 Ownership

Currently I'm not even close to where you are with yours, but I want to hold on to the car and improve it as much as my current life situation allows. I also think we should stick together R16 wise. Unity is strength. The more we are in this together, the more each of us will benefit. It's been almo...

Re: '69 Seat 1500 Funebre (and other lonely hearse's)

Some of the weirdest hearses in Europe were built in Greece, such as this Buick. https://i.imgur.com/G44TPQA.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ApzOJPU.jpg https://i.imgur.com/AjlspSM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Wv2YU1M.jpg https://i.imgur.com/n95lLqz.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PYsSWvd.jpg https://i.imgur.com/UhaDAHK...

Re: '69 Seat 1500 Funebre (and other lonely hearse's)

Southern European coach builders used to notch the beltline to allow for big windows in conjunction with non raised roofs. https://images.autouncle.com/it/car_images/c29bf2fd-b819-46f7-b7b5-d712a23fe237_fiat-130-carro-funebre.jpg https://prod.pictures.autoscout24.net/listing-images/1400775d-cb63-c15...

Re: '69 Seat 1500 Funebre (and other lonely hearse's)

Hearses vary vastly from country to country due to numerous reasons. The Irish hearses mostly have low rooflines because this didn't require changes to the windscreen area and front doors, even the front portion of the roofs can be retained. It's also deemed more elegant than raising the roofs, whic...
