The only thing I know about BXs is the ABS equipped GTI was more expensive to insure than the non-ABS version, apparently due to the regular failure of the ABS system resulting in no braking system.

I had a J plate Sierra once, the instrument panel had to be replaced at under 30k as it'd gone rotten and any time it rained the only thing at worked was the speedo.

Wheel bearings in my GSX14 lasted till 136k, which means I never fail to be amused by other owners who think they need changing at about 25k as that's 'high mileage'. I think one of the original tail light bulbs lasted over 100k too.

It'll stop you get bored for a day or two at least.

Isn't the fix* a thicker ladder under the block, new longer head bolts & something about moving the 'stat on some models?

They did a super8 dashcam? it'd take up half the dashboard!
