I've never flattened a bike trying but on the odd occasion someone has borrowed mine and turned it off with the kill switch it's taken a while to think of it. Quantify "while" please... A min or two. It happening on a FI bike helps as it shows a FI warning on the speedo and doesn't do any...

Aye makes sense on the water.

I think I recall last year there were a few places the diesel had to push them due to the risk of trackside fires if the steam loco was working hard.

Now that's proper technology. Shame the rules mean they must drag a diesel along in case of breakdowns these days, but at least they took an old one.

They're pretty popular in the taxi driver community. We buy the belt extender to stop the buzzer from going off.
I used to have a boss at a car dealer who carried a spare buckle for that as he never wore a seat belt.
