Re: Two wheels good.

I've never flattened a bike trying but on the odd occasion someone has borrowed mine and turned it off with the kill switch it's taken a while to think of it.

Re: Eddie Honda's wheels of steel (and occasionally alloy)

It stayed on till I wrote the car off a year or so later, so meh

Re: Eddie Honda's wheels of steel (and occasionally alloy)

I never changed the nut on my XJ40 when I did a wheel bearing, was I meant too?

I did it up to 'fat monkey bouncing on a breaker bar' and it never came off

Mine was a '78 with no viscous, I'd be surprised if it was different as it's the same lump.

Re: 1979 Trouble Spitfire

Pretty sure it should have a mechanical fan. I know when I tried an electric fan on my 1500 Midget it hated hot weather. It needed the constant draft off the fan to stop the carbs boiling at low speed.

Re: Onslow's new motor.

If they've gone in that long ago then it's already eaten them so no point looking for them. It'd be a waste of money opening it as it runs fine.
