Brand new Grand Vitaras used to drift well on wet roundabouts but as they came with so little fuel in them it would slosh to one side, cut the power and bring them back in line.

Re: EBay Finds
I once had a 1980 3.3 Mustang. Can't get more naff than that! It was great for when people asked what you drive. "A Mustang, wow". It was more like "oh" when they saw it.

Re: Unparallel Renault 16 Happenings
Yes , Richard of Rothwell . Owned and driven R16 s since Feb1967. And yes got a lot of bits , but better still know where you can get almost everything , though prices for the rarer parts can be eye watering now. Well start a thread then, it would go down well. There are more 16s on here than any o...

Re: Unparallel Renault 16 Happenings
Can you come and paint my 16 please. Today was a special day as it was to be the final bit of paint that needed doing! I marked the occasion by fucking it up. It would have looked better brushed on

They were good cars but to race them you need to convert them to five link rear suspension ideally.
As for the VV... I used to warm my Capri up with a stick between the seat and accelerator pedal otherwise it drove horribly. It was ok when warmed up though

Re: 1974 Dolomite Sprint
There always has been and still is a huge difference between a Dolly and a Dolly Sprint, Escort and Escort AVO, 1502, 2002, ti, tii and turbo. And that is money. If you stop comparing apples with eggs and go by the purchase price, the Dolly Sprint, although not cheap by any stretch of the imaginati...

Re: 1974 Dolomite Sprint
All I can add to the discussion on value is that as a child of the eighties Escorts were cool. Due to their rallying success presumably. Only two doors though. Any BMW was seen as cool, although most 02s had disappeared by then. I don't remember Sprints being talked about, I think any Dolomite or ot...
