It is AMC. But then that's the beauty of the Dark Wob, the range of comments on all threads.

Re: Two wheels good.

Eh? How is Ukraine's fault that mad cunt decided to wreck their country? The Slovaks we spoke to think the the Ukrainians ruined their country financially. Hence why there seems to be very little public sympathy for their current predicament. I didn't want to go to much further into it, as I was a ...

Re: Two wheels good.

Yep. Severe shortage of tyres here. My mate spent two hours ringing around, and even then I had to ride 45 kms to get them done. The Slovakians and Polish we spoke to over tye last few days put the blame for this (and many other things) on the Ukranians. You don't see any Ukranian flags flying here...

Re: Scrapyard Memories

Remember the Mountnessing scrapyard very well, lots of good parts there, and not expensive. Temple Farm was a bit different for me, too many "dodgy" cars and bikes for my suspicious mind. Blackwells in Halstead had lots of 1960's stuff there in the mid 1980"s, which kept lots of old s...

Re: Two wheels good.

Had to get a pair of tyres fitted in Slovakia on the Deauville, as they were very worn, and tram lining everywhere. Seems tyres are in short supply here, so dealer only had Metzlers Roadtec 01's. Had them fitted, so at least I won't get pulled for bald tyres. €333 fitted though. Setting off to Zagre...

Re: What did you do today?

Nice collection of toys there. He runs a plastics company from the same premises. Turns old plastic crates, tarpaulins, builders bags, plastic sheeting, etc., that people pay him to take from them, then turns it all into plastic pellets that he sells on to companies for injection moulding. This pro...

Re: What did you do today?

Leaving Slovakia tomorrow, and my mate took us to see his friend Peter who "messes about" with cars and bikes. He was not kidding. Importantly all of them run and drive. Home made sand drag car (for 100 metre races), restorations of a Buick convertible, a 1920 Skoda 3.0 litre straight six,...

My mate took lots of photos of the bikes there, which included a couple of CZ 125 motox bikes, which I'll put here when he sends them to me.

Re: What did you do today?

Went to a small motor museum in Novaky, Slovakia today. It was shut. My Slovak mate rang the number, and they told him they would open it for us. No charge. Although we left a decent donation for our 70 minute visit. It was superb, quite small, but packed with bikes, cars and memorabilia. Even had a...
