The white one (if genuinely low mileage) would appear to be far better value than the blue one (or the Cortina for that matter). Really it would only make sense to me as a long term keeper with no consideration of resale price. It appeals to me far more than a modern ten grand Astra of similar milea...

My missus is pretty up for stuff but she baulks at the Cowley column (as does the car itself) - it wouldn't go into 1st at a junction so I told her to chuck it 2nd or even 3rd and pull away but nah...She'd probably cope with the auto one though. I wouldn't spunk 8k on it either, though.

Regardless of trim level and/or seating all the Mk1 autos were column change (and had the 1500). Looks a nice original thing....8 grand though, FFS.
