We've always had convertibles until last year when for some reason we didn't, both mine and the wife's commute changed to less than 5 miles a day and we hardly ever dropped the roof, will probably buy a late E Class cabrio this year though.

That brings back memories as I used to have a Rapido folding van, went everywhere in it following the BTCC and Superbikes in the 90's and took it to Glastonbury 4 times.

Bumper isn't too hard to remove to be honest, intercooler could be full of oil and it'll smoke like a bastard, I would remove it and wash it out but it isn't my car.
