I used to drive my cabrio's year round as long as it was dry, I loved it, still do just don't own a floppytop of any description.

That's a bugger, don't think I'll ever buy an SBC equipped merc now, mine needed doing but other things happened and I ended up scrapping the car.

Possibly more at NorfolkNwedge but I guess you may know too. What's the deal with Sensotronic brake systems? Presumably yours has it at this age and are they as troublesome as some make out? Can you still get replacement new units when the brake counter maxes out? Presumably not very safe to reset ...

Bloody hell! Fancy turning that down at that sort of cash, the prices they are fetching these days, what a mug! :) Only if its a GTR, looks like a GTS to me. it'll just be an abs sensor probably, or a brake light switch, most reasonable (£100 ish) readers should be able to read it, I have a 'kingbolen' thing and it's really quite good for the money

I've recently bought probably the nicest passat ever 1 giffer owner, full history, 90k miles, 2 cambelts and a service every year even if its only done a couple of k, it's mint too 20231022_115600.jpg Think I posted it on here last week, its a fabulous 'car' it's not fast, or sporty, but it's comfy...
