Until the comfort access module fails and the car won't start. If it's like a modern-ish BMW you can just unplug it.

Bollocks.

My Triumph Herald would cruise at 90mph very happily.

As would many 60s and 70s cars.

Re: What did you do today?

I think the EGR valve on my daily 118d shit box is playing up. Cruising on light throttle you can just feel it surging, classic symptoms. So I had a secondhand EGR delete kit in a box, and on it went.

Old tensioner pulleys need the seal picking out and a bit of grease fingering in. Refit the seal, job done.

Re: Sics Consolidated Faded Moderns Thread - 2003 E320 & 2006 Golf Mk5 GTI

I ran one of these 3-4 years ago. Most of these were rubbish even then. That one was at the crossroads where it could be saved or turn to shit. They are quite well put together with cheap poor quality parts with no regard for longevity or ease of maintenance. All Mark 5 sills rot out due to the desi...

Re: Have I dropped a Bolok?

You’ve been bummed. The car is lost , unless you can pay some pikeys with a hiab to retrieve it.

A good repaint is £4000 minimum these days and a moon miles S2000 doesn’t warrant that.

Re: What did you do today?

Potential replacement Saab found for my current Saab! It's a TTiD so £30 a year to tax. All the usual foibles have been sorted, rear arches are a bit bubbly but it is cheap. Be aware the TTiD is a good engine when working but not good when it's not. Iirc RBJ has some relatively recent experience wi...

Re: 1968 MG Midget

Problem is, you're going to have to drill holes in that rear wing to rivet on the side strip clips - and you will need a LOT of filler to get that even remotely straight. I'd be using long screws with nuts and washers.

How much are complete rear wings?
