Re: What did you do today?
I had the remaining three original tyres replaced on my work Transit today. Nearly 75k on a set of tyres isn't bad, especially when it runs at 3400kg all the time. I must be a gentler driver than I used to be. The new tyres look to be quite ditchfinderey, as if the Transit needs any help to swap ends.

Service time. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48440612632_62444de474_b.jpg £59 delivered for the service kit, which seems not too bad. I changed the track rod ends and aux belt too. I started off using the Pela pump but it was taking forever, possibly because I didn't warm it up enough, so I dra...

Re: What did you do today?
This is the difference between the two types, the longer and newer one being the Nivomat type. You should be able to tell which you have by counting the coils.

Re: What did you do today?
The front end is jacked up there but yes, you should be able to get your hand between the tyre and wheel arch. If you have Nivomat self-levelling shock absorbers, as mine does, the springs are softer. If you replace the Nivomats (which are something like £400 a side) with conventional shock absorber...

Re: What did you do today?

I can bring a heater blower to Cholmodeley if you want. IIRC I took it out for a reason but it does work. Free to good home of course.

Re: What did you do today?
A couple of weeks ago I got the bits to add cruise control to the Volvo https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48110691046_0d3588ed77_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48110577836_6940e1a28d_b.jpg It all came from an automatic S70 so it was missing the clutch switch/valve. I fitted all the bits...

Re: A car show - pictures
Headroom wasn't a problem in our one, but I had to crouch right down to see out of the windscreen. I've never experienced that in any other car I've driven.
