Re: Found pics

Sounds feasible that....I binned my 70s MotorSports but the December 1969 edition carries a couple of ads near that price, including a runner XK140 with MoT and "recon engine" at £425..... A third of that bought an "immaculate" Triumph Mayflower too, not a ratio of value that wou...

Re: The Triumph Mayflower.

My Cowley runs the same kind of indicator system - original switch and speedo warning light, 2 relays and four added flashers so that all work in harmony with the trafficators (these have LED flashing "bulbs"). Just nowhere near as neat as those on the Mayflower! I might have upgraded them...

Re: Freeloading Cnut

Cranleigh is one of those places that seems to be on some sort of terrestrial turntable. Used to do a car show there 15 years ago or so. I never found the place by the same route each time we went (before we had any kind of satnav) as if it clicked round on some axis by 20 degrees a year.

Southampton to Amsterdam looks to be around £200 per person return.
Think it was £36.00 each way last time we went, from Southampton. I know it was a late flight too as we literally went straight to the airport from a rock and roll club night.

Re: What did you do today?

Just come back from a few days in Amsterdam. Never been and it's only a short flight, so thought why not. Very interesting place and I think we'll go back sometime to explore more. Mostly did the main shopping area and a gander through De Wallen. I think my wife was more intrigued than I was - even...
