Only 5 minutes ... if they haven't rusted themselves in!

Re: Pug 107, citroen relay and '54 tt quattro
Unplug the abs sensor connector and check the resistance across the sensor. Almost zero ohms or very high/infinite ohms then there something wrong with the sensor.
Or the act of unplugging/plugging may clean up the contacts of the connector and it starts working again.

Go to live data, spin the wheel and see which wheel shows a reading.

Yes! Most of it is there with just a few bits missing. The original touch-up pens are still there though.brandersnatch wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 11:34 am Have you got the under dash tool kit?A8331A59-061B-4264-9C85-B104E26D8B96.jpeg

Re: Rover P4 - Arrived!
And the glovebox is now open! Just needed a good pull. I used a plastic trim tool to give me the leverage without damaging the trim. The contents are a bit disappointing as I was hoping for some history. Instead I got a new spark plug, a metal rod, some manky old blue roll and a tax disc. Tax disc i...

Re: Rover P4 - Arrived!
I bought a key for the glove box as none of the keys I had moved the lock. Handily (but insecurely) Rover put the key numbers on a plaque on the A post. The key I had for the boot lock is one number out from that. Anyway good news! It turns the lock! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230324/0ffb9f5...

Re: Rover P4 - Arrived!
We've had an awful lot of rain recently. As far as I can tell, almost unbelievably for an old car, the interior seems dry. Apparently the heaters on these are like furnaces too. Gear changes on this one aren't that precise and quite approximate though. Clutch feels quite high too. Are these cable or...

Re: What did you do today?
I've never had a problem with DOT4, even when left in a brake system for a good few years. I don't personally see any advantage to use DOT5.
But the whole DOT4/DOT5 brake fluid debate does become like the one on what 20w-50 oil is the best.

Re: What did you do today?
The cheap clutch master for my BGT I bought leaked out the box. Ended up fitting one of those modern metal can clutch masters as far better made, even if nearly three times the price.

That doesn't cool down hot and sweaty crotches and feet though.
