Re: What did you do today?
Bugger me, I actually wielded a spanner today. Changed the wiper motor and linkage on Daughter No.2’s TT, common problem with them apparently and they’re not the same as every other Golf derived VAGshite, hence chancers trying for over £100 for one that’s as likely to expire as the one you have. Go...

Re: Sics Consolidated Faded Moderns Thread - 2003 E320 & 2006 Golf Mk5 GTI
This has always felt a bit lumpy on idle when sat at lights. Its worse when holding the brake pedal down. I think it might be the engine mount knackered or TADIS. However the spark plugs were of unknown vintage, so I reckoned it would be worth changing them anyway. A set of four NGKs were just under...

Failing that, pull it into an enclosed and soundproof car transporter to take away elsewhere that is easier to swap all the ECUs needed (e.g. from a cheap write off). Or cho...

Re: Sics Consolidated Faded Moderns Thread - 2003 E320 & 2006 Golf Mk5 GTI
So what's happening with this? https://autoshite.com/uploads/monthly_2024_03/PXL_20240308_180552383.thumb.jpg.0eaf221ba00168a69ddda28388b0f7d4.jpg Nothing really to report and I've done nothing mechanically to it either. With the Golf GTI being the new toy, this hasn't been driven quite as much. T...
