I've brought Civic home for the weekend . It was still revving up and down 3000 to 500 back to 3000 to 500 . I carefully disconnected this and that ...no difference . Removed airbox..Just above the throttle plate are 2 large bypass ports.. sticking my finger in one, brought down the idle to normal....

I very, very rarely get a cancelled train. Maybe because I'm on a mainline to London they cancel everyone else's trains to make sure we have them down in the south/south west?!

Could also be a turbo leaking oil internally as no boost pressure to help keep oil on the right side of the seals?

Have you seen how much of a bastard location the turbo is at the back there? If you're not doing it, it'll be a fair amount of labour and risks of studs snapping. So imo I'd make sure whatever turbo you buy that it's good out the box. Probably why they go cheap as apart from plentiful, most scrap th...
