Re: Me Van

Wasted a load more time this afternoon sorting a way of pulling the front suspension to bits without removing from the vehicle . On first examination these supposedly rebuilt units are in a terrible state. IMG_20190516_151737503.jpg Serious spunkbubblery has been committed here, on removing the valv...

Re: Custom LED indicators

Here's how my small glass winkerers look. I originally had those sticky out amber lenses but they look wrong on something made before such things were invented.

Re: Forcing us off the roads?

Just seen that horrible cheap 20/50 in the builders merchants, the stuff with a chequered flag on the otherwise white container. I'm sure it's made from used oil and has lumps in it, but the worst thing is that they want 19.99 for 5 litres of the lumpy piss. Having said that I use just about anythin...

Re: Custom LED indicators

There's plenty of info on how to wire LEDs and lots of high intensity ones; just use that breadboard stuff to put it onto. There's ready made ones from "CLASSIC DYNAMO & REGULATOR CONVERSIONS LTD but I reckon it's not worth the bother. I made something up for a vehicle with your system (Sun...

Re: EBay Finds

Reality is so much multilayered, it would indeed justify a thread along the lines of the headlight one. I just fear it will be wasted, considering what little appreciation exists in the face of such uneducated popular folklore awash with a complete suppression of hard facts. Then you would be wrong.

Re: Trucks Lorries Vans Commercial Whatever

He took me to school to that meeting at 9 am when the classes were full in a 1985 transit van. The van was hand painted florescent yellow with purple wheels, nudge bar and some weird wannabe airbrush painting on it. He also had stereo up full tilt with I think the bay city rollers on. ( This was in ...

Re: Trucks Lorries Vans Commercial Whatever

IMG_20170915_152315785.jpg This is my commercial offering, a Morris. It has an all-steel cab, rare in 1933 but it was more all-rust by the time I got hold of it. It must have been one of the earliest UK trucks built this way. The body is off a Transit which means the purists look down their noses a...

Just a bit of relief really. You fucked me right up with that V8 and I just want something with lots of cylinders before I become unable to count above 4.
