I've been a member of the MGOC for some 40 odd years, I've never met any other members nor do I plan to do so, I subscribe to the Groucho Marx view.
Parts and advice are easy to get over the web and that's all that I need.

Fair enough Merc, as you can tell I've never done this just buying and selling T2 parts where they've just been posted either by or to me.

I would question the 20 hours a week.
I can understand it if a lot of it is spent trying to source parts but not if it's selling and sending them out.
Maybe the role could be split in two, one sourcing and one selling?
The former could be based anywhere I guess.

I saw one in a garage in Leeds a long time go. The guy who owned it had apparently been seriously injured and it was at a place that specialised in converting cars for disabled drivers...... My then boss used them for work on his P5B and I seem to remember him saying that they'd convinced the owner ...

I still use my record deck, a Thorens TD160, after having it for 50+ years.

It sounds a lot better than CDs.
