You can pick it in your profile settings. Baby poo brown is the forum default but there is a 'prosilver' or something as well. I tried adding half a dozen & only one worked so that's all the choices you get.

Odd. I was indeed on prosilver (phpBB standard default). The colours were annoying, but even worse was that the userID and photo were to the right of the post rather than the left.

Fixed now, ta!.

(You'd never think I used to administer a couple of phpBB forums would you..)

Yep, God on a motorbike. I live by some great roads and we get quite a few bikers on powerful and noisy sports bikes in bright colours. When they dismount at the local pub they are rarely below 60
