What is the story with this thing????
I dunno. Was having a walk near the sea and it was just standing on its own about 1/4 mile from a very rocky beach. I assume the tracks are hydraulic powered but I couldn't see another power unit. They fold up on the side and are presumably out of the water when it gets on the plane which shouldn't take too long with that outboard.

One more French fancy:

I think this was from around 1973, in superb restored condition. It differs from the UK 125 in that theres no rev counter and an enclosed chain. Hard to get to this standard, it looked as if the exhaust was a one off- I think that decent quality parts are hard to find or at least they were when I looked at doing up a CD 175.

That little Honda is lovely, I had the slightly later one with red and black tank. Couldn't kill it, lovely wee thing. You are right about parts for these, too, I have also looked at CD175 restoration and been horrified at some of the replacement costs. In the end I didn't fancy a motorbike that could rust structurally. Always have a soft spot for 70s Hondas, though....

I liked the colour until I painted one! What a horrible colour to match. Blue undercoat and piss thin basecoat. It wasn't one of my better paint jobs

No photos as usual (I don't walk around with a camera and my phone is a phone).....

However if in Lowestoft for any reason, check out this place....

The awesome Charger and the Galaxie are still there but there was a Fiat Croma out the back, a couple of Rekord Cs and a Lancia Beta lurking in the showroom.

My mother painted the scuffs on hers with a big brush. She admitted it looked awful but didn't want it to rust

As I was leaving work. Very pleasing on the eye.
