Shame about the sunroof, it'd be lovely otherwise.

Didn't SiC want a Webasto?

Given what he's done on his cars it'd be a piece of piss for him to swap it over.

Poor Rapier. I had one of those in '82, a 1960 Series III.

That one is a Series IV or a V with the most excellent 1725 engine. Nicely made and criminally underrated despite how popular they were when new - not many folk know that these arrived a full year before the Minx.

It's a Series IV, I thought it was the last of the 1600s but you might well be right. Agree with you that they were nicely put together though, Rootes stuff seems to have a quality air about it.

Series IV were 1600, the badge on the wing said "IV" which was then updated to read "1725" on the Series V cars. Other than that I think they were visually identical. Shame to see one like that, I've always thought they were a nice car.

This isn't a new spot and I think I've posted it before. However it is local and still around (although resprayed now) so I am pea-roasting it with Jo in mind......

Mine was registered May 1962, not 1960, so would be a IIIa with the 1600 engine.

Forgot to post this that I saw the other week. Not the kind of thing you'd normally see out in the snow
