I think that the JPS Europas looked brilliant, the guy who had my MG before me apparently bought one.

If I hadn't wanted a convertible I'd have tried to get one.

Mind you this is from someone who has a Skoda Roomster as his main car.

The whole JPS branding was a breath of fresh air in the Seventies when everything was two shades of purple with yellow. Very classy - even the fag packets themselves, especially those round drums that held 25 or 50. I remember being quite envious when a mate bought one of the Puch Grand Prix mopeds in JPS colours - well I was until he crashed it and had to keep paying the HP.

Very nice too, I have a soft spot for Granadas. Nice to see the Farina estate next to it as well.

A daily by the look of it.

I wob-spotted a Beetle today but didn't take a picture. It was a shiny black oval-window and seemed to be chaperoned by an E36. They were pulled over in a layby as I went by and after a fuel stop I caught them up towards Romsey on the dual carriageway. Hope the lady driver didn't think I was showing off as I tanked past at 70 plus but I had already let the Minor off the lead and he had the wind up his arse (he hasn't been out for a week or so...)

Nice looking Beetle, though....
