Re: Found pics
I assume that went wrong then, normally aircraft are re-usable after landing.

Re: Found pics
Apart from having a fleet of win, he/she is a bloody hero for keeping that 541S like that. I am absolutely serious when I say that if I ever win the lottery I am rocking something exactly like that and in that condition.

Re: Found pics
That 541S reminds me of a bloke from Bristol 20 odd years ago who had an orange 541R, he used to go to all the club events and usually won trophy's with it for being the only 541 there. I miss my 541 but there is no way I could afford another now as they are silly money.

Re: Found pics
They are indeed. About 16/17 years ago, I knew a fellow Reliant botherer with both TEA 541 and PEA 541 (ex-Motor Show and London - Paris car) and both where complete non-runners. Think he still got 12k for PEA. Not sure if he sold TEA to the same fella. I also used to see DEA 541 around Hanworth too.
If I could afford to take any one of his stash back then though, I really fancied the ASA 1000GT he had.

Only ever seen one of those, it was a favourite of mine in the 1966 Observer's! Beautiful car.

Re: Found pics
I found a 541S in a barn back in the early 80's and tried to buy it with my dad and that was the start of my desire for one. I eventually bought my 541 Deluxe for my 30th birthday and completely rebuilt it. After pouring nearly 10 grand into it I only kept it a couple of years as the bodywork started to craze again and it was breaking my heart to watch it deteriorate again. They were a great car and could pull from about 10mph in top there was so much torque.
