I can't argue with that......

In it's defence, however, the immediate post-war being of Standard-Triumph had but one model planned in the Standard line-up - the Vanguard. Had it's highly Americanised full-width styling not found favour it could have proved very difficult financially for the new company. Continuing the '30s razor-edge traditional styling for the companion Renown (1800/2000) models gave the company a hedge. Sadly, that styling didn't translate well to the smaller model which was deemed necessary to make.

I think our own Cros summed these up nicely in another universe - "A runty cuntlet of a car"

Renowns are prettier. Not that you ever see em even at classic cars shows. If we still had car shows...
