Yo!

Soooooooo. I am here now so thought I will update the people that stopped frequenting the beige one.

It is almost a year since I started living in Sweden, first part time and now I am fully residing here in this really beautiful part of the world.

I had to completely change my career again. So now it goes like that: hippie -> corporate wanker -> not for profit wanker -> railways -> construction. But it is all rather good as I get to work outside and get paid rather good wages considering I am a complete beginner.
I must say I thought I will pick the language up a bit quicker but I am getting there. I blame Swedes for that as literally everyone knows English and it's just easy to get by without using Swedish.

But lets get to motoring matters.
I quickly found out that driving around here can be dangerous:

The amount of moose, deer, boar and other wild animals I see is astonishing. I would just prefer to see them well in advance and not in front of the car.

Now my everyday whip is a Swedish workhorse:

Also for the first time since I was a stupid kid growing up in Poland, riding big bikes without licence or skill around Warsaw without any considerations about police in their FSO Polonezes or Fiats 125 (they didn't even try to chase us) I think I would like to have a bike.
Never tried a shovelhead with foot clutch and hand gear changes but I look good on them

Fiat 133

Post by stillOrange »

Let me now talk about the Fiat.

Bought it few years back from Ken on AS and it has been standing in a friends garage since. Few weeks back he said it needs to go so with me being here and car in UK i had to decide it's future.

Decision was to send it to a local classic car restorer and see if he can put it back on the road for me.
we talked about costs and it now is going towards a fullish refurb with respray and interior work.
I just couldn't let it go without having to drive it on a road at least once. Plan is to drive it to Sweden some time in the summer... at least plan for now :)

Some pictures from the work being done:

Free car for you!

Now, now!

There's also the matter of my Volvo which currently stands quietly in a parking spot outside my old house.
I am willing to give it away to someone...

It really should be hovering about rather than standing sadly

That's a great offer!

Maybe @bub2006 could use it while he gets his BM sorted out.

It is not MOTed at the moment and the radiator fan didn't seem to work last time I drove it, so it isn't unfortunately the kind of car you can use straight away. :(

3.0 6 pot. Insurance is prohibitive for me though and it's a saloon so might struggle.

78 Caprice 4 door sedan with the 350/350 and a 2.41/1 inside a ten bolt.
It also must have AG9 seats and the AF7 comfort package.
Go and dig one up and don't even think about reporting back until that's achieved.
1BN69L...
That would make me book the ferry ticket.
