Buy a Bentley Jag's are for dodgy wide boy types and pub landlords. I did mean to have a look at the headlights before putting it away again but I suspect the round ones are fairly standard units. I could be wrong though so will have a proper look if you want.

Maybe, I’ve had a few XJ’s and I love the 4.2 super. Dad did his apprenticeship at Crewe roll site so I should really buy the rolls equivalent but remember going on an open day in 1988/1989 as a kid (I know) and seeing the beasts with tyres screwed to rims

You should be able to find something usable for that money and yeah Jag's are cheaper but they ain't no Bentley. Coming down the M5 this morning I pretty much got the fast lane to myself as the plebs just get out the way. (well most of them except for white van man)

Depending on which story you subscribe to, it was either Stephen Harper or Graham Hull who chose the headlamps for the Bentley Turbo R facelift. I believe, they were generic, off the shelf items, although knowing Crewe, they probably re-engineered them from start to finish before production.

Struggling to find something that doesn’t scream wedding car or van tyre clad shit box across the Internet.

What are the non turbo ones like? Sluggards?

The non turbo is a nice car but no performance at all. They are just a waftmobile without the turbo. Now I have had a turbo I wouldn't go back to a spirit They are still a bit special but you don't get the surge you get with the turbo. There are a couple of cheapies on ebay one at 5k and an auction one that starts at 3 and is probably not worth a hell of a lot more than that. Both are active ride cars though which drive better but the downside is they cost a lot more to fix when they go wrong.
