I got a bit more done today on the old girl. I didn't even think to take pictures until it was all done but never mind you can use your imagination about what a bastard it was to change the accumalators. Actually it wasn't hard at all once I got hold of the Citroen sphere removal tool. First up you release the high pressure by pumping the brake pedal with the engine off and ignition on. It didn't take much to get the warning lights on for low pressure only about 4 pumps when it should do at least 20. Once the pressure was released you just unscrew them with was dead easy on the front one with the tool. I had to unbolt the bracket that holds the front accumalator to get the tool on the rear one. Again with the tool it is a simple case of unscrewing the sphere. All sealing faces cleaned and ne seals fitted and it was all back together in less than 3/4 of an hour. This part of the system self bleeds so just fire her up and top up as required and it was job done. The next job was much more painful as it involved a trip to the petrol station £105 to fill her up. I have had to register it to be able to tax it so now to run it about a bit and see what else will go wrong.

It is having the wheel arches wobbed over and a bit of paint. It should be back later this week so I can finish burning through the 100 quids worth of fuel I put in it before a serious effort to flog it to finance the next silly purchase.

You may want to reword that to having the arches lovingly lead loaded between virgin breasts before being smothered in layers of the finest automotive finishing protects to precisely recreate the deep luster you would expect on this prestigious automotive wonder.
