Bought another money pit. 😆

Back story is that the trader took this in part-ex for a XJ8 he was selling. He got told the car I've bought was in excellent condition but pictures were from it been restored 7 years ago...
The car was collected sight unseen and he isn't too happy. Did say he was going to sue the last seller for difference in value.

Latest pictures show it detoriated a bit and it's sold as a restoration project. Bit of a crap shot as it doesn't look that bad and going by the other stock the trader is selling, I expect he was expecting a absolutely mint, concourse example.

I got it for not a too bad price as these things go and it was last MOT'd in 2018, expired (not failed) in Nov 2019 so hopefully not that bad! 😬

Unfortunately my budgets don't stretch that far.

I really want to like the 2CV but just not able to! I'd much rather have a Renault 4 or something like that. Or what I've bought...

I've never understood the love for the 2CV, they are just awful in every way. Just like almost any french car.

I respect the engineering simplicity of them and their noble goal of a utility vehicle that is affordable. Which is why I want to like them. Just struggle to have any interest in wanting to own one.

I can see where you're coming from but the end result is about as like-able as those 'Africars' a few decades ago.

What is it, then? My money is on a Mars Miner. What else could take the place of the crab that got away?
