Aye seen that posted a few places, since when have they ever given a shit about motorbikes? they are doing their best to ban them by making it too expensive to get a licence anyway.

Not read it all but a quick scan seems to suggest that pedestrians are allowed to walk all over the road and cyclists allowed to filter up the nearside even towards an approaching left-hand junction.

Eyes in the back of your arse time, more than ever.

The only bit I don't get is give way to cyclists when the cycle lane crosses the road. Everywhere I've ever seen that occur the cycle lane has give way markings?

So the government say that they want to get more people cycling and and a day or so later this appears.

This must be the first instance ever of joined up government although I fail to see the need for it, stopping rogue cyclists from riding on pavements or going through red lights would improve safety far more in my view.

Yep, there surely must come an extra layer of responsibility with so much additional consideration. Just ride the way you have always been supposed to, ffs.

I've responded saying a load of it is bollocks - riding in the middle of your lane doesn't improve safely, it just pisses drivers off. That's just one example of the stupidity in there.

They won't listen but still...

Exactly, it's not difficult to cycle on the road without getting run over. Just don't be a twat, which most cyclists fail to do.

I still haven't calmed down since they changed the HC to mention riding wearing a white helmet and loads of hi-viz/reflective shite on a motorcycle.

Didn't do the real White Helmets any good, tho! Still got disbanded.
