Wasn't there a commerciale version of this with the opening rear? I know some of the bigger Peugeots were available like that (as was the Traction Citroen) or maybe it was an aftermarket thing - like you say Gaston pendant la guerre.....It is a little cracker though and I was struck at the similarity of the lines to the later Ford 8/Anglia although of course much earlier. I can't believe you snatched this from under their noses!

Bloody hell there’s some real bargains gone through that auction looking at the sold prices. That’s a good find, I’ll also be back in France mid October if you buy some more and need a staging post in the north.

It is turning into a bit of a nightmare now as the Shiply wanker who was supposed to of collected it let me down. I am now trying to work out a plan with a mate of mine who has a big truck and an operators license so we can go without having to do the quarantine. The only difficulty is his dog has chewed the corner off his passport and getting a replacement isn't easy, but hopefully we will be on for early next week as it is now costing me 25 euro a day storage.

it is 1350mm wide and 3800mm long according to wiki. The weight is 890kg and at the moment it looks like I am going down in my mates 7.5 ton truck if anyone has anything that needs transporting between Essex and Toulouse let us know. I am hunting through Leboncoin to try and find some other shit to bring back, but it might end up being a spaz chariot at this rate.
