90mph is 5.5k in 3rd gear. I reckon it might nudge a ton.
It's nuts. 4th and 5th can only be for economy.
It seems to attract loads of shit driving. People pulling out in front of you, not giving way, 2" off your bumper that sort of stuff. Just had proper road rage as well. Usually I've had the kids in the car and have to suck it up but not this time.
The worst I had that with was the silver Astra G we had. No idea why it was such a magnet for it. Definitely small cars seem to be a magnet for it too. Clio doesn't often get it, I suppose because many who would see the RenaultSport badge. Those that do often realise when I boot it into a national and get left behind.

Puts me off getting something like a Metro, as I suspect they'll be another car that's a magnet to idiots too.

I nearly got ran off the road in my metro by a neighbour in her gashqui about ten years ago. Had my five year old son in the car with me and it wasn't the first time she'd come round a blind bend on the wrong side. She drove like a fucking dick most of the time.
I went to her house after her work for a 'Quiet' word. Her husband/my mate was a fucking giant but was very embarrassed and apologetic. She clamed down after that.

I recently sacked him off as a customer over Christmas although not because of the above. He was ringing and texting for about a week because his hot water had gone off. Bedlington's fifteen miles away now and too far for a five minute job. I sometimes feel I'm the only plumber out there.

Top work Paul, glad you're enjoying it. I've a C1 in the garden waiting for a hedgehog to collect it, it's the diesel one which remaps to 104BHP and some obscene torque figure. I reckon that could be a laugh, it drives well enough as is.

Definitely feels like a Toyota mind, for me it doesn't have the PSA flair.

Just had to fill the 107. The guage went from two bars to beeping and flashing in less than ten miles. £45 to fill up gave me 36 litres. 360 miles travelled gave me a real world 45mpg. Pretty shit tbf.

That was just a brief fling 🤣
Hopefully it'll improve now that it's been tested.

I worked out the MPG of my Granvia yesterday.
Hopefully I got my sums wrong as it came back at 16MPG.
That was doing around 70-75 MPH with an occasional 80.
3.0TD with permanent 4 wheel drive.

That the real-world average of the Jizz after 217 fuelings over 80,066 miles. Giffering along the motorway will see 55+ and sticking a roof rack and box on will drag it down to 33.

Taking the ladders off my van gets between 50 and 70 miles per tank.
Stripped the brakes on it to try and find that annoying squeak/grind as you braked coming to a stop. Couldn't find anything wrong and the discs and pads looked recent. I cleaned them all up greased the usual bits.
Wheels back on, test drive to Tynemouth and silence is resumed. No idea what was causing it.
Free fixes are the best.
